Nursery Reveal

Hello everyone! I'm here today to post my baby boy's nursery reveal. This room is one of my favorites in our house and I cannot wait to share it with you!

Since our house is pretty small, all rooms are noticeable when walking around, including the nursery. Because of its visibility, I wanted the nursery design to flow smoothly with the rest of the house and to not be too juvenile.

We got the glider from family for free, and I just found a new cushion online for it. The bedding is Serena & Lily and I love it! It actually matches the crib bedding. It was so hard to find twin bedding to match the crib that I actually liked! The prints above the bed are from Etsy and we just put them in barn wood frames from Michael's. The quilt on the bed is made from my husband's college t-shirts. If you are ever wondering what to do with old t-shirts that have too much sentimental value to give away- make them into a t-shirt blanket! It is such a great way to preserve them. That way, you can snuggle with your memories for years to come!

The dresser was a Craigslist find and we just added a changing pad on top following John & Sherry's tutorial of how to screw it in to place. We also added a piece of glass to the top of the dresser. I would definitely recommend this to anyone outfitting a nursery; especially if you have a little boy :). My son either spits up or has some "leakage" daily and I can just wipe it off! He also Loves smiling at himself in the mirror during changing times. In the basket I have plenty of diapers and wipes easily accessible so I can keep one hand on him at all times. Like I said earlier, the crib bedding is from Serena and Lily. Its a bit hard to tell in the picture above, but the crib sheet is covered in little blue crabs. Our mobile is this flying elephant one from Pottery Barn. Its a bit hard to tell, but the curtains in this room also have elephants walking across them.

We are really fortunate to have two closets in this room for extra storage. In the corner you can see my husband's fraternity jersey subtly biasing our son. On top of the high boy we also have several family photos.

In this corner we have a bookshelf hiding behind the door and a dry erase board. This room used to be my husband's office and we decided keep the white board to write notes.

There's the nursery! I hope you like it. I think this guy approves.

The baby tummy gets me every time.

I'll be back next week with some fun posts I have planned. See you then!
